The second release by this eclectic band fronted by Todd and featuring woodwind wizard Beth Heidelberg on an array of instruments including flute, sax, clarinet, melodica, and a variety of whistles. In the five years that they were together, The Griswolds had a strong and steady following throughout the southeastern US due to relentless touring and their high-energy, captivating live shows. Sparky’s Revenge is a fun, upbeat disc that accurately captures the band’s live energy. Recorded in Atlanta with former hollyfaith guitarist Kevin Morrison, the CD enjoyed considerable airplay on college and non-comm radio throughout the southeast, and was distributed to mom-n-pop indie retail stores throughout the region. Another good showcase of Mack’s strong writing skills, often injected with humor and irony, and topped off with some fine woodwind licks for good measure.
